Our Mission
At Obaashiing Treatment Center, our mission is to provide compassionate and culturally infused rehabilitation services. We are dedicated to helping individuals reclaim their lives through structured and supportive treatment programs.
What is offered at ObaaShiing Treatment center
The ObaaShiing Treatment Center's approach touches on aspects that take a holistic approach. each relative admitted into Obaashiing will have their counselor develop an individual treatment plan. daily group sessions, cultural programming, physical wellness, and access to mental health services. OTC utilizes community resources and programming from within the Red Lake Nation to ensure that relative will leave with the tools and support to continue being successful in their journey to healing.
Relatives will also be exposed to various living skills and a chance to work on personal goals that have historically been barriers to housing, employment, and education. One of our goals at obaaShiing is to provide the tools to live a sober life. Currently the length of stay is 90-days, on average. however, successful discharge will be based on each individual's treatment plan.
Cultural Infusion
As a culturally specific treatment program, ObaaShiing infuses the Anishinaabe values and teachings into the day-to-day activities and treatment services.
Relatives will be able to learn traditional teachings, participate in various ceremonies, learn traditional arts and crafts, and experience and learn the various seasonal teachings and activities.
Process for Admittance
ObaaShiing Treatment Center participates in direct access and client choice. An individual can contact our intake worker to schedule a comprehensive assessment. If an evaluation has already been completed, your assessor may contact Obaashiing to have your assessment sent for review. After we have completed/ or received your assessment, our treatment team will decide on your eligibility and fit for admittance.
